In Memory Of My Feathered Friends
SAM * * * 10/29/2006 |
I had him about 4 years, not sure what happened, but he
became blind. Then after about 6 weeks, he started having
seizers and on 10/29/06, passed on before I could get him to the vet.

"Tye" is on the left and "Mia" is on the right. They had become a pair after
arriving here.

"TYE"

"Crip", so named because she was crippled. Some one brought her into
the pet store and said her wing was broken. I brought her home and the
next day took her to the vet. He did an exam and said no broken bones,
just some damaged nerves.He suggested putting her to sleep. I paid his
fee and brought her home. With medication and physical therapy with her
feet and legs for a week. and she was still crippled but doing just fine.
She mated, laied eggs, and antagonizes the cockatie

"BABY" was my pride and joy. I love all my babies, but she
was special, as she was my first. I got her in the summer of 2002.
She got a tumor in the pituitary gland which caused her to go
blind, which ended up causing her death.

"Jak". I had her about 4 years. Not a good picture, but itis all I have
( She was named before I found out she was a she)

"BLUE" I have had her about 5 years

"Moe" (one on the right)I have had him about 5 years. He developed a tumor
in his body which caused his death. Vet told me that 50% of all male
parakeets have a gene that causes this. He was one of the "twins"

“Lisa” She was another adopted one. Not a good picture, but the best I have.

She is called "Lucky". While I was at the pet store, someone brought her in,
and it looked like a cat or dog had gotten a hold of her. But she survived and was doing
well. She has the markings of a male, but since she laid eggs. it must be a female. She was
the oldest of the flock. Not even sure how old she was. I had her about 8 years
